Once each player has two cards, there is a round of betting. This is initiated by 2 mandatory bets called blinds, put into the pot by players to the left of the dealer. Each player then decides whether to call, raise or fold.

A royal flush consists of a pair of kings or queens and 3 matching cards of any rank in between. A straight consists of 5 consecutive cards that are all the same suit. A three of a kind contains 3 matching cards of one rank and two matching cards of another rank. A pair consists of 2 matching cards of the same rank.
